The German government requires e-invoicing for its suppliers

From 27 November 2020, the German federal government will make e-invoicing compulsory for all its suppliers. This is good news for Belgian companies operating on the German market that have been preparing to send e-invoices via PEPPOL in recent years. From then on, they will be able to send PEPPOL invoices to the German federal government without any additional effort. Many German Länder have accepted them for some time. The German and Flemish governments presented their e-invoicing policy to a wide international audience at the E-invoicing Exchange Summit on 7 October. The Flemish government has made e-invoicing compulsory for its suppliers since 1 January 2017.
